Wandervale

Adopting a black and white minimalist concept, this three-bedroom apartment at Wandervale is a statement of well-defined modernity. The design brief was simple: to create a modern and functional home for the family that has 2 young children. Maintenance was also a key consideration when we were designing for this project.

Vertical columns cladded in wood and steel partitioned the entryway and the dining, creating a private foyer upon entering. Much of the walls were kept white, including the tv wall and console. Grid lines embossed on the tv wall adds a subtle aesthetic touch to the white plane. With a white canvas, attention is drawn to the black details in the form of furniture and lightings.

The master bedroom is dressed in a darker colour palette, with the walls finished in a medium tone of latte brown. The black wood trimmings and contrasting flow of grains used in the master bedroom is coherent with the living. The dapper look on the head board is crafted by forming panels at alternate gradients, with strips of wood trimmings rounding off the design.
