Bukit Timah

Landed

This two-storey semi-detached house bears all the trappings of a family home; its interiors are warm, cosy and inviting, and the communal spaces are roomy enough to accommodate large gatherings of relatives and friends. We used wood against white to create a relaxing resort themed interior. Accent notes like coconut husk tiles and wood laminates preserve the laid-back vibe our home-owners had been seeking for.

We adopted an easy to maintain and straight-forward approach when it came to the use of design details. For example, the white feature wall in the living room is visually broken by a single strip of coconut husk. Another example is the use of mirrors to visually complement the details and bring more light into the house.

Throughout the house you will find cosy corners that have been primed for rest and relaxation. One of these pockets of leisure is the Al fresco foyer along the corridor. Our team extended the roof of the house to create an awning and installed a dark timber flooring to create the perfect spot for the family to enjoy quiet evenings.

Simple design details such as steel inlays on the headboard and strips of coconut husk texture on the TV wall are subtle touches in the home-owners rooms. The master bedroom exudes a restful vibe in line with the rest of the family home.
